ONTOLOGY, EPISTEMOLOGY, LITERATURE . . .
for Juan Garcia Ponce
time has hardened in this stone full of circumvolutions
entrances and exits
curved surfaces
hollows that gather shadow after looking at it for a while
it seems to take shape
a procession of heads can be discerned at the front of some parade or march
impelled
by some blind force
where are they going?
promontories and hollows turn into
knees
shoulders
hips
bodies
tenderly entwined
how many? of what sex?
once looked at the stone
turned into a bundle of questions
begins to reflect
the eye
that sees it
one after another questions cancel each other out
the only answer
turns out to be
opaque mute
form
